Our training department provided technical, skills based and safety training to clients, with our short courses ranging in length from 0.5 to 5 days in duration. The majority of our courses are held at our training centre in Bedfordshire, but we can provide some at your location.

Full Surveying Course Leading to ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying

As well as the short courses, we offer a Surveying Course for new entrants into the world of surveying and geomatics. The course takes place over 2 years, with 3 blocks of learning each year. Each block is 2 weeks long and each subsequent block builds on the block before. The course is run along side the ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying, providing successful candidates with a qualification that will enable them to gain a CSCS card that will allow them to work on construction sites throughout the UK.

Utility Mapping (5 day)

Wolfwood Consulting run a 5 day course, to provide candidates with the knowledge and ability to undertake underground service detection and mapping in line with PAS 128.The course can be taken alongside the ProQual Level 3 Utility Mapping and Surveying qualification or as a standalone course.

Using Total Stations

This course is aimed at new recruits or staff who have little or no experience of using modern total stations. It is designed to give candidates an understanding of the principles and practical application of how to use modern total stations for setting out or surveying.

Setting Out (Advanced)

The course is designed for junior engineers, or those who may have graduated from university with some instrument knowledge but little practical experience. It is also relevant to site-based consultants and other specialist engineers.

Leveling For Setting Out

This course is designed to give junior surveyors, engineers and construction staff an understanding of the principles and practical application of levelling for both Topographical Survey and for Setting Out.

The course has been designed for students with little or no experience of using leveling equipment.

5 Day Surveying Course

This course is designed to give candidates with experience in surveying and site engineering a good grounding in the principles and practical application of site surveying, using both total stations and a level and staff.  We do not use GNSS as part of this course although a separate 3 day GNSS course can be taken.
