This course is designed to give junior surveyors, engineers and construction staff an understanding of the principles and practical application of levelling for both Topographical Survey and for Setting Out.
The course has been designed for students with little or no experience of using leveling equipment.
During the course students will learn observing, calculating and checking of levelling runs using the ‘Height of Collimation’ method of booking as well as checking the equipment.
Practical sessions are used to back up the theory learned in the classroom.
Although a basic knowledge of the use of calculators for addition/subtraction, multiplication/division and square roots prior to coming on the course would be an advantage these skills can be taught as part of the course.
On completion of the course students receive a certificate of attendance. Students may wish to follow this course with the 3 day Total Station course
The course costs £515 plus vat
